Hernández & Cía. announces the appointment of Jorge Trelles as partner, strengthening its capabilities in Corporate/M&A and financial transactions.
Trelles is the second transactional partner from Rodrigo to join Hernández & Cía. in the past month, following Nydia Guevara, partner in Banking and Finance, Capital Markets and FinTech. Trelles built a career spanning nearly twenty-five years at Rodrigo, advising on highly complex corporate and financial transactions.
His work has been consistently recognised by the leading international legal directories. Trelles has advised companies and investors on M&A transactions, as well as domestic and international financial transactions in sectors including mining, energy and infrastructure, among others. He also has significant experience in project finance and brings international experience gained at Allen & Overy (now A&O Shearman) in New York, where he participated in transactions across several Latin American jurisdictions.
Trelles’ appointment is part of a series of recent developments in Hernández & Cía.’s transactional and projects practices. In addition to Nydia Guevara joining from Rodrigo, earlier this year the firm welcomed Carlos Núñez and his Projects, Infrastructure and Construction team from DLA Piper.

Jorge Trelles holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
